Christmas Giving for The Royal Marsden
For the team here at Warrenders Jewellers, Christmas 2024 was all about community. We are proud to be part of Sutton’s rich and diverse neighbourhood, filled with friends, family and customers from all walks of life. However, community isn’t just about the people you cross paths with every day…
A stone’s throw from Warrenders is one of the most prestigious medical centres in the country. The Royal Marsden is a world leader in cancer care, pioneering treatment and ground-breaking research to help people who are living with cancer. Many patients are children and young people from across the UK, who were unable to return home for Christmas due to their treatment. So, to bring a little extra festive joy to these honorary members of the Sutton community, our team decided December 2024 would be dedicated to those spending Christmas at The Royal Marsden's Oak Centre for young people.
Our Giving Tree
During November and December, we welcomed gift donations under our in-store Giving Tree for this important cause and we were absolutely overwhelmed with the response from our generous community. We received over 100 gifts to surprise the children at The Royal Marsden, all donated by the wonderful people in our local area.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated, we have been told the children were absolutely delighted.
Our Pledge to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
The important work at The Royal Marsden cannot continue without funding, so in addition to our Giving Tree, we decided to fundraise as much as possible for this worthy cause.
As well as holding a special raffle at our annual Christmas Champagne Reception, we also made donations to the charity for any sale we made over a certain amount during November and December. Overall, with the help of our wonderful customers, we raised a total of £1,080.00 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
We couldn’t have done any of this without the incredible and unwavering support of our customers and local community. Over the years you have helped us raise more than £8,458.00 for The Royal Marsden, we are very lucky to be part of a neighbourhood with a beating heart as large as Sutton’s.
